In over ten years, three homes, and multiple design projects we have been incredibly happy and satisfied with the relationship we have established with Tina! The latest project, our basement, was quite the challenge but one that Tina more than rose to the occasion; from the initial structural design and allocation of space to the hands-on support during the construction phase. Tina’s unique and creative design talents have been an integral part of bringing our dreams to life!

FAMILY FUNCTIONS

This area of the home was initially set up as closed rooms including a theatre, bathroom, playroom and storage. The multifunctional aspects of the proposed space led the clients to thoughtfully deliberate on how they wanted to utilize the space.

The process began with creating a space plan reflecting the clients’ need for opening up all available areas. However, some walls were load-bearing, so the plan had to account for hiding the structural beams and columns. Additionally, the stairs were opened up and redesigned. All floors, walls, and ceilings were treated for sound, design, and functionality.

The newly designed space now includes a wine room with a chilled wine cabinet, a beverage kitchen, a golf simulator room with a viewing area, a media area with multiple seating, a closed-in gym, and a bathroom with a steam shower.

The space is now used for various purposes; from daily gym and steam sessions to golf workouts in the simulator space. The space is also used for relaxing, viewing movies, and hosting gatherings on wine and game nights. The space is versatile, serving as a place for workouts during the day and entertainment in the evening, complete with wine and popcorn.
